Do you do bridal consultations?
Yes! We are delighted to do free consultations with all brides, which include a complimentary 15-minute application of henna (valued at $17.50). We are happy to meet with you at our location or at the location of your choice.
What is the cost of your bridal henna? How much do you charge for parties?
Please check our design catalog for fixed-price options and party add-ons. This catalog is being updated continually, and we also can develop quotes for bespoke designs based on your ideas and inspiration.
Do you travel?
Absolutely. We can travel virtually anywhere. Various fees apply depending on the distance traveled and accommodations (if needed). Please check out our current travel fee schedule here.
Can I receive my henna at your location?
Yes! In fact, we are uniquely set up to cater to bridal clients. We can take appointments in our state-of-the-art "star trailer" situated on our beautiful 14-acre farm located near Fultondale, Ala., just 15 minutes from downtown Birmingham. This funky, boho-styled RV is called Serenity and features these amenities:
Do you use black henna?
No — NEVER. We understand that "black" henna is commonly used in some parts of the world, but it contains chemicals that are extremely dangerous to human skin. Please click here to read more about the dangers of "black" henna.
But I want a really, really dark stain!
Our henna produces an AWESOME stain! Just look at our photos for typical results. The difference is, we handcraft our own paste in small batches with organic henna powder from Rajasthan, India, that has been properly sealed and shipped. With proper aftercare, you will achieve a deep, rich stain. As an alternative, we can mix our usual henna paste with jagua to create a very deep brown stain with a cooler tone than henna alone. Click here to find out more about jagua and henna combined with jagua.
What if I want a unique color?
Only henna and jagua will stain human skin safely. However, we can use Henna Glam (made by Henna Caravan) to paint almost any color you like (including black) in a mehndi design. Henna Glam does not stain the skin — it's an opaque paint that lasts 1-5 days and can be removed with baby oil or rubbing alcohol. Check out our main bridal page for photos of Henna Glam in white! (Please note that unlike henna or jagua, Henna Glam must be applied the same day as your wedding.)
What about a design with some sparkle? Metallic or glitter?
We can do that, too! Acrylic adhesive topped with metallic cosmetic powder and/or glitter creates an unbelievable effect that can be added to an existing henna or jagua design, or can be combined with Henna Glam. The combinations are limitless.
