Dear clients and friends:
We are currently reviewing expert advice to see if it's possible to arrange personal, one-on-one appointments again, including bridals.
Governor Kay Ivey has permitted close-contact services such as tattoo studios and hair salons to reopen as long as certain hygiene protocols are observed. When we do reopen for personal appointments, we'll do everything possible to make sure you stay safe and healthy.
In the meanwhile ...
We hope you and your family are staying safe, well and sane! We're all in this together. Stay strong.
- Amy

In the meanwhile ...
- We are NOT taking bookings for parties or other gatherings for the time being.
- Pop-up salon events will not be scheduled in the foreseeable future.
- Our Etsy store is closed while we reorganize.
- Our major summer event – Magic City Con – has been canceled but will return in Summer 2021! See you there.
- As for our autumn/early winter events, particularly Day of the Dead (Nov. 2), we're taking a wait-and-see approach. Stay tuned.
We hope you and your family are staying safe, well and sane! We're all in this together. Stay strong.

Dear clients and friends of Blue Lotus Mehndi:
I am heartbroken to announce that we are suspending operations until June 1, 2020, because of the increasing threat of the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19). "Social distancing" and doing henna are mutually exclusive, and I believe now is the time for me personally to practice self-isolation.
What this means:
The June 1 date may change depending on the spread of the virus and how much it affects day-to-day life in our community. I will post updates here as necessary.
This is not a decision I've made lightly. This is not only a substantial financial loss for my business, I also hate to miss all the wonderful people I would have gotten to meet and serve.
My hope is that this crisis will pass quickly so that we can get back to business and back to normal as soon as possible. When that happens, Blue Lotus Mehndi will be back to serve you. In the meanwhile, be well and be safe.
Warmest regards,
Amy Miller

"Social distancing" and doing henna are mutually exclusive, and I believe now is the time for me personally to practice self-isolation.
What this means:
- I am still available through regular communications channels for anyone who has questions or needs information about my services.
- I am withdrawing participation from all public events between now and June 1, 2020. (These events likely will be canceled anyway.)
- I am canceling all scheduled private events and clients through June 1, 2020.
- I am not scheduling any new public events or accepting bookings for salon appointments, in-home appointments or private events until further notice.
- The Blue Lotus Mehndi Etsy store will remain open for the time being.
